TRYON Amateur Radio Club – K2JJI

RACES Drill – Tuesday at 7pm EST | On air: -146.70Mhz No-PL | EchoLink: 510372 | Fulton County NY

Bob (KB2TGD) has taken a break from cleaning his shack. He updated the repeaters list for this area. Download it and compare it with yours. See if you need to make any adjustments.

Of course is always good to verify that you are able to access the repeater before programming them in to your radio. If you see any mistakes or the list needs corrections, leave a comment.

On Wednesday, January 19 at 1630 UTC, engineers at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama confirmed that the NanoSail-D nanosatellite ejected from Fast Affordable Scientific and Technology Satellite (FASTSAT). According to NASA, the ejection event occurred spontaneously and when engineers at Marshall identified and analyzed onboard FASTSAT telemetry; the ejection of NanoSail-D also has been confirmed by ground-based satellite tracking assets. NASA is asking radio amateurs to listen on 437.270 MHz for the signal and verify NanoSail-D is operating. Hams should send information to the NanoSail-D dashboard.

For about a year now I (KC2UEZ) have been re-broadcasting the K2JJI repeater on this site. I decided to expand the number of repeaters monitored.

How this work? K2JJI 146.700Mhz will take priority over all the other frequencies. If there is a QSO on a nearby repeater and a new QSO starts on K2JJI, the QSO on K2JJI will be the one streamed to the internet. The list of monitored repeaters frequencies are:

Name Freq Name Freq
1 K2JJI 146.700 9 WA2ZWM 146.610
2 CA 2M 146.520 10 WB2BGI 145.430
3 CA 70cm 446.000 11 N2FEP 147.360
4 K1YMI 443.700 12 NC2C 145.350
5 KC2AUO 147.195 13 N2CJ 449.975
6 WA2UMX 147.240 14 WA2IR 146.790
7 KF2JT 449.275 15 K2AE 147.060
8 WA2AAU 146.865 16 K1FFK 449.425

If you want me to change any of the frequencies, please leave a comment, there is a limit of 16 frequencies.
